Process Technician - Medical Device Manufacturing

Location: Irvine, CA
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Schedule: Occasional overtime, weekend support, and early starts (as early as 5:00 AM)
Type: 6 month contract to hire

Manufacturing teams at the Irvine location work in controlled environments, including cleanrooms and sterilization areas, supporting activities such as product formulation support, component preparation, assembly, packaging, labeling, and final product preparation. Employees play a critical role in ensuring products meet strict quality and safety requirements before being delivered for surgical applications.



Position Summary

The Production Technician supports manufacturing operations by preparing, processing, packaging, and maintaining materials used in the production of medical devices and biologic products. This role works within controlled environments, including cleanrooms and autoclave areas, while following strict SOPs, GMP requirements, and quality procedures.



Responsibilities

  • Support formulation builds and manufacturing activities according to production schedules and procedures.
  • Prepare, verify, and stage components required for manufacturing operations.
  • Perform cleaning, labeling, sealing, and packaging activities while following established SOP requirements.
  • Assist with final packaging operations, including kitting, lot preparation, and product organization.
  • Support cleanroom manufacturing activities while maintaining proper gowning and contamination control practices.
  • Transfer, stock, and organize materials within controlled areas, including:
    • Autoclave areas
    • Cleanrooms
    • Quality areas
  • Complete ERP system transactions accurately and in a timely manner to support inventory control and material tracking.
  • Assist with organizing and stocking gowning supplies from approved vendors.
  • Support sterilization and autoclave-related processes as needed.
  • Assist with wastewater treatment activities and proper disposal procedures.
  • Perform routine cleaning and housekeeping activities within manufacturing areas.
  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and quality requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with FDA regulations, GMP standards, QSR requirements, GTP guidelines, and ISO procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations.


Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 0-2 years of experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, packaging, or a regulated environment.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions and SOPs.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Comfortable performing repetitive tasks consistently and accurately.
  • Ability to follow direction from supervisors and work effectively within a team environment.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use:
    • ERP systems
    • Label printers
    • Computers and general office equipment
