Quick Facts Location: St. Louis, MO Start Date: As soon as credentialed End Date: 04/19/2027 Shift: Day, 4x8-hour shifts (08:00 - 17:00) Hours/Week: 40 Employment Type: Locum to Perm / Permanent Licenses/Certs: Missouri License, BC in Genetics, BLS, DEA, BNDD Experience: 2-5 years minimum in genetics, metabolic conditions preferred Pay & Benefits Hourly Rate: $156.00/hour Benefits: Pay package discussed upon application, includes support for licensure, Malpractice insurance, and more. What You’ll Do Conduct general genetics evaluations for pediatric and occasional adult patients Manage biochemical/metabolic disorder cases in outpatient and inpatient settings Provide inpatient consults across PICU, NICU, and pediatric wards Collaborate closely with genetic counselors and multidisciplinary teams Document patient encounters using EPIC EMR software Support the hospital’s comprehensive pediatric specialty programs in cardiology, neurology, oncology, and more Participate in occasional telehealth consults in Missouri and Illinois, pending licensure What You Need Required: Board Certified in Genetics (or eligible) Missouri and Illinois medical licenses (or eligible for licensure) BLS certification DEA and BNDD credentials 2-5 years of relevant experience in pediatric genetics Preferred: Experience with metabolic disorders and inpatient consults Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Strong diagnostic skills in genetics About the Assignment This position is based at a leading hospital in St. Louis, MO, renowned for its pediatric specialty care, innovative facilities, and a comprehensive approach to genetics and metabolic disorders.
