Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ communication and language growth in dynamic educational environments near Port Saint Lucie, FL. Several Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) positions are available, each covering a dedicated school site for maternity leave coverages, serving students from K-12 in collaborative school teams.

Assignments include:

  • Manatee Academy K-8: Immediate start through January, K-8 caseload with a strong and supportive SLP team.
  • Palm Pointe K-8: Begins in October, concludes in January, K-8 caseload focused on multiple ASD units. You’ll partner with another SLP onsite.
  • Ft. Pierce Central High School: Begins in September through October 20th, high school caseload with SLPA support two days per week.

Your expertise and compassionate approach will empower students dealing with communication challenges, giving them essential skills for the future. Each role is a 35-hour week (7 hours/day, Monday–Friday) at one assigned campus.

Desired Experience & Credentials:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current, valid Florida SLP license (SLP-CCC required)
  • Previous schools-based or pediatric experience is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative spirit
  • Ability to meet district credentialing requirements, including fingerprints (may expedite through AHCA Clearinghouse if previously completed)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
  • Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs
  • Document student progress and provide feedback to families and staff
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in IEP or planning meetings
  • Build positive relationships with students, families, and school personnel
