Job Description
Kforce's client, a successful regional professional services company in Rhode Island, is in search of a Tax Manager. Responsibilities: Prepare and review all types of tax returns (including trusts) of varying complexities Prepare and review underlying tax workpapers Perform tax research on client tax matters and provide technical recommendations Train and mentor staff accountants Assist in client tax planning and business advisory Communicate appropriately with clients, providing excellent service and quick turnaround Perform other duties as assigned Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance Preferred: Certified Public Accountant or actively studying and preparing for CPA certification 8+ years of experience working for a certified public accounting firm Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures Professional, driven, and self-motivated Outstanding organizational and project management skills Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills Ability to collaborate with others on tasks to meet deadlines Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Ability to handle sensitive and confidential material Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong time management skills and ability to work independently Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment and approaches projects with a sense of urgency Proficient with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
