Job Description
Baptist Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our rapidly growing inpatient team in Jacksonville, Florida.
\nThis full-time, hybrid clinical and operational position supports both inpatient admissions at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville and transfer coordination through the Patient Care Logistics Center. You will play an essential role in facilitating discharges, managing overflow admissions, coordinating transfers, and helping patients reach the appropriate level of care efficiently.
\nThe position follows a 9 a.m.–9 p.m. swing shift and requires on-site work.

- Facilitate discharges before noon \n
- Prepare appropriate discharges for the following day \n
- Support overflow admissions \n
- Respond to urgent clinical and operational needs \n
- Assist with real-time transfer decisions \n
- Help optimize bed assignments and patient placement \n
- Coordinate care across inpatient and logistics teams \n
- Promote safe, timely movement throughout the continuum of care \n

- Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program \n
- At least one year of Hospital Medicine, Critical Care, or ICU experience \n
- Current Florida APRN or Physician Assistant license \n
- National certification through AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA \n
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications, or ability to obtain \n
- Valid Florida driver’s license \n
