What you will do
\nCandidate will maintain and grow a route servicing existing fire extinguisher, kitchen hood, e-light and pre-engineered and possibly engineered gas system customers. Inspect, service, repair and install 2 or more suppression product lines; emergency lights, fire extinguishers, pre-engineered and industrial systems according to safety requirements and manufacturer's specifications.
\n\nHow you will do it
\nMake recommendations based on manufacturer's specification and state/local codes.
\nIdentify deficiencies. Quote, sell, and repair on-site.
\nUp-sell existing customers to new product offerings and services to meet compliance with current fire code regulations.
\nSell new accounts on the route based on the same compliance criteria.
\nMeet or exceed quotas set forth by the direct supervisor.
\nCall on potential customers to offer suppression products and services.
\nUp-sell and cross-sell existing customers to new product offerings and services to meet compliance with current fire code regulations.
\n\nWhat we look for
Required
\n 1+ years of Kitchen Hood experience
Completion of High School diploma or equivalency.
\nA valid motor vehicle license is required.
\nDemonstrated mechanical aptitude and basic computer knowledge.
\nAbility to transport equipment and tools weighing up to 40 lbs.
\nAbility to work in restricted areas and adept at maneuvering ladders.
\nAbility to demonstrate a high level of customer service
\nEffective communication skills with both internal and external customers
\nAvailable for occasional overnight travel.
\n\nPreferred
\n Previous experience in the Fire Protection industry preferred
Knowledge of NFPA standards and dangerous goods an asset.
\n\nHIRING HOURLY RANGE: $18-25 plus commission (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
