Compensation: 45.00 hr + 45.00 Daily Per Diem

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Tool Makers / Tool & Die Technicians to support an automotive manufacturing facility in Lorain, Ohio. This is a travel opportunity offering competitive compensation, daily per diem, paid hotel accommodations, and overtime opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with stamping dies, tool and die repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance within an automotive or high-volume manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and adjustment of stamping dies and tooling
\n
• Diagnose tooling and die-related production issues
\n
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on dies
\n
• Repair, fit, assemble, and modify tooling as needed
\n
• Support production by minimizing tooling-related downtime
\n
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
\n
• Use precision measuring instruments to inspect tooling and components
\n
• Perform grinding, fitting, polishing, and other tool room operations
\n
• Work closely with production and maintenance teams to resolve tooling issues
\n
• Follow all plant safety procedures and quality standards
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Previous professional experience as a Tool Maker, Tool & Die Maker, Die Maker, or Tool & Die Technician
\n
• Strong stamping and die experience required
\n
• Experience repairing and troubleshooting production dies
\n
• Progressive and/or transfer die experience preferred
\n
• Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred
\n
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
\n
• Experience using precision measuring equipment
\n
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
\n
• Must be willing to travel to Lorain, OH
\n
• Must be flexible with shifts, schedules, and overtime
\n
