Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated and experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for various acute care units at our facility. This role comes with a sign-on bonus and a robust benefits package, including an enhanced 403B plan and comprehensive medical coverage. Role of the RN Clinical Nurse

The RN Clinical Nurse plays a vital role as part of an interdisciplinary team, consisting of both licensed and unlicensed caregivers, ensuring that patients, families, and significant others receive personalized, high-quality, and safe care. This position operates within a clinical setting overseen by Nurse Managers and other leaders, supported by our Shared Governance Model. The practice framework is guided by our Professional Practice Model, emphasizing evidence-based practices and research. RN competencies are aligned with these models and are reinforced by our organizational values.

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Practice and Outcomes:
  • Utilizes the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to deliver individualized clinical care based on evidence-based practices.
  • Provides patient-centered care that respects population-specific characteristics (such as age, gender, and health conditions) while acknowledging cultural diversity.
  • Engages with patients and their significant others through effective communication methods, ensuring their goals are central to the care plan.
  • Adheres to current clinical practice standards.
• Teamwork and Collaboration:
  • Coordinates and documents safe, quality patient care, promoting a professional care delivery model through inclusive interdisciplinary communication.
  • Demonstrates teamwork by practicing in a fiscally responsible manner, supporting the recruitment and retention of healthcare team members.
  • Participates in performance improvement initiatives, engaging all stakeholders and utilizing research to enhance patient care quality.
• Professional Development:
  • Completes all required competency assessments and ongoing education, including population-specific training.
  • Acts as a preceptor or mentor for other nurses and staff, fostering a qualified workforce and a healthy work environment.
• Evidence-Based Practice and Research:
  • Advocates for evidence-based practices and nursing research, participating in value analysis for patient care products.
  • Ensures compliance with organizational policies, legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards, including safety goals.
  • Engages in data collection and formulates relevant clinical questions to enhance evidence-based practice.
• Resource Management:
  • Plans proactively for patient care across the continuum while providing direct care.
  • Collaborates with care managers and team members to develop protocols aimed at achieving optimal practice outcomes.
  • Supports the efficient use of human and material resources.

Qualifications

• Education:
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing or graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Licenses and Certifications:
  • Registered Nurse (Single State) upon hire is required.
  • RN - Multi-state Compact upon hire is required.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required.
  • BLS Instructor certification is preferred.
  • BLS Provisional certification is required.
• Experience:
  • Less than one year of experience is required, with completion of clinical hours from an accredited nursing program.
  • Direct patient care experience is preferred.
• Skills:
  • Strong clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
