Quick Facts: Location: 3635 Vista Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63110 Start Date: 09/12/2026 End Date: 03/13/2027 Schedule: Day shift, 06:00 – 18:30, Monday through Friday Shift Type: 8-hour shifts Hours/Week: 40 Employment Type: Contract Licenses/Certifications Required: Missouri State License, BLS, ACLS Experience: Minimum 2 years in cardiac surgery, trauma Level I experience preferred Pay & Benefits: Hourly pay rate: $156.00 Weekly pay via direct deposit Medical benefits (W-2) including comprehensive coverage Robust referral bonus program Paid sick leave in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable 24/7 dedicated team support throughout your assignment What You’ll Do: Provide inpatient management of adult cardiac surgery patients on the stepdown unit Perform daily assessments, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for complex post-operative patients Manage chest tubes, surgical drains, and wound care Monitor and manage arrhythmias, pacemakers, and electrolyte imbalances Recognize clinical deterioration and implement timely escalation of care Collaborate with cardiac surgeons and multidisciplinary team members Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR and Sectra PAC systems Support discharge planning and coordinate patient care What You Need: Certification: BLS, ACLS (current) License: Valid Missouri license or eligibility for temporary privileges, including IMLC/compact licensure accepted Experience: At least 2 years, including trauma Level I experience, in cardiac surgery or critical care settings Skills: Autonomous practice, proficiency with post-op cardiac management, excellent communication, professionalism, and ability to work in a high-acuity environment About the Assignment: Join a high-achievement cardiac surgery stepdown unit for an ongoing, full-time assignment.
