We're looking for adaptable and committed substitute teachers to support learning across a single school building. You’ll work with multiple classrooms, gaining valuable teaching experience and building lasting relationships in one consistent setting.

We are seeking licensed Teachers to join us supporting students.
\n In this role positively contributing to the lives of children in special education by supporting students with academic adaptations, and social/behavioral needs, and general classroom needs.

\n Responsibilities:
\n - Maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning
\n - Assign lessons and follow the classroom lesson plans
\n - Maintaining a safe learning environment
\n - Utilize a variety of learning methods to enhance students learning experiences and support them as needed
\n - Teachers would be expected to work with Neurodiverse students within a classroom setting

Required Qualifications:
\n Qualifications:
\n - Washington State Certified Substitute or Teachers License
\n - Bachelor’s degree or higher
\n - Applicants must have professional proficiency in English
\n - US Work Authorization - Zen Educate cannot provide sponsorship for an employment visa or relocation assistance at this time.

\n Experience:
\n - Prior experience working with children in a structured setting is an asset.
\n - Prior experience, personal or professional, assisting people with special needs or disabilities.

\n Physical Requirements:
\n - Comfortable being on your feet and moving around the classroom throughout the day
\n - Able to lift up to 20 lbs and safely assist students when needed (kneeling, bending, quick response)
\n - Additional physical requirements may be requested during your application process

\n

Preferred Qualifications:
\n - Previous experience working in special education
\n - Teaching, Behavioral Technician, or PCA experience
\n - Crisis prevention (CPI) training
\n - CPR certification

\n

Salary
\n Pay: $30 - $35 per hour, paid weekly.
\n Schedule: Subbing/on Call (Minimum 1 day per week) or 5 days throughout Monday to Friday, within hours of 7:30 - 3:00/4:30 pm, depending on school demand and schedule
