Position Summary\n

Seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift travel assignment in Bakersfield, California. The RN will provide patient-centered care utilizing the nursing process, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and support positive maternal and neonatal outcomes in a Labor & Delivery setting.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform patient assessments and ongoing evaluations.
\n
• Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans.
\n
• Monitor maternal and fetal status during labor and delivery.
\n
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policies.
\n
• Collaborate with providers and multidisciplinary care teams.
\n
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment, recovery, and discharge planning.
\n
• Document patient care accurately and timely in EPIC.
\n
• Delegate appropriate clinical duties and support team-based care.
\n
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, nursing standards, and patient safety requirements.

Requirements\n

Licensure

\n
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
\n

\n

Certifications

\n

\n
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
\n
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
\n
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
\n
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
\n

\n

Experience

\n

\n
• Recent Labor & Delivery experience required.
\n
• Acute care experience preferred.
\n
• EPIC experience required.
\n

\n

Education

\n
• BSN preferred.
\n
