HIRING CRANE SUPERVISOR

Position Overview

Power Crane is seeking an elite Crane Supervisor to lead major crane and rigging projects across the United States, including data centers, renewable energy wind projects, industrial sites, commercial construction, and other large-scale heavy lift operations.

This is not an entry-level leadership role. We are looking for a proven field leader who can run high-pressure projects, lead experienced crews, communicate with customers, manage crane operations, and uphold the highest standards in safety, production, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Lead crane, rigging, and heavy lift operations on major projects across the United States Supervise crane operators, riggers, signal persons, drivers, and support personnel.

• Coordinate daily lift activities according to lift plans, site requirements, customer expectations, and company procedures
\n
• Ensure all crane setup, assembly, disassembly, mobilization, demobilization, and site-to-site movement is completed safely and efficiently
\n
• Verify proper rigging methods, load control, crane positioning, ground conditions, communication, and execution before lifts occur
\n
• Conduct daily safety meetings, pre-lift meetings, inspections, and job hazard reviews
\n
• Enforce OSHA standards, customer site rules, company safety policies, and project-specific requirements
\n
• Identify issues before they become problems and communicate solutions quickly
\n
• Maintain accurate daily logs, inspection records, lift documentation, crew hours, equipment notes, and job-related paperwork
\n
• Communicate professionally with customers, general contractors, project managers, site leadership, and internal management
\n
• Hold crews accountable for safety, productivity, attitude, housekeeping, and quality of work
\n
• Support field training, leadership development, and performance improvement within the crew
\n
• Step in where needed to keep the project moving, including supporting rigging, signaling, equipment coordination, logistics, and field problem-solvinRequirements
\n

Minimum Experience: 5+ years of verifiable crane, rigging, heavy lift, industrial, wind, or construction leadership experience
Leadership: Proven ability to lead crews, manage field execution, and make sound decisions under pressure
License: CDL required
Residency: Must be a USA resident
Certification: NCCCO, Qualified Rigger, Signal Person, and related crane/safety certifications preferred
Industry Experience: Wind industry, data center, industrial, heavy civil, or large commercial project experience strongly preferred
Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of OSHA standards, lift planning, crane setup, rigging methods, load charts, ground conditions, and jobsite risk management
Communication: Must be able to communicate clearly with customers, crews, site leadership, and company management
References: Strong professional references required
Travel: Must be willing to travel nationwide
Accountability: Must be dependable, direct, safety-focused, and able to hold themselves and others to a high standard
Openness to Growth: Must be open to new challenges, changing project needs, leadership development, and taking on additional responsibilities as required

Schedule & Travel

Nationwide travel required
\n Typical schedule: 8 weeks on, 1 week off
\n Scheduled week off is unpaid
\n Hours will vary depending on project, weather, customer needs, and site schedule
\n Non-union position
\n Company truck may be provided for approved roles

Compensation

Power Crane is willing to pay top compensation for the right Crane Supervisor. If you are a high-level field leader with the experience, discipline, and drive to run major crane projects the right way, we want to talk.

Compensation will be based on experience, certifications, leadership ability, travel flexibility, and proven field performance.
