Job Description
PRIMARY DUTIES:
The staff nurse is tasked with delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout their lifespan. This role involves utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. The nurse operates in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures, showcasing professional development and accountability. Additionally, the staff nurse is responsible for upholding practice standards and coordinating the patient care activities of all assigned personnel to ensure high-quality nursing care.
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION:
Completion of an accredited nursing program is required.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:
New graduates from nursing programs are welcome to apply.
LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
A valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Georgia or a current NLC/eNLC Multistate License is mandatory.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
ADDITIONAL PREFERENCES:
For PRN roles, a minimum of one year of nursing experience in a hospital environment is preferred.
A Bachelor’s degree is favored.
Advanced certification in a relevant specialty area is advantageous (refer to addendum).
Experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
