We are seeking an Orthopedic Trauma Surgery APP to join our collaborative and experienced team. We welcome both experienced APPs and new graduates who have a strong interest in orthopedic trauma, fracture care, hospital-based medicine, and surgical care.

\n

This is an excellent opportunity for an APP who wants meaningful exposure to the hospital, operating room, inpatient consults, trauma, clinic, and postoperative care, while being mentored by an experienced orthopedic team.

What You'll Do

    \n
  • Evaluate and manage new patients referred from the Emergency Department
  • \n
  • Perform inpatient rounds and new inpatient orthopedic consultations
  • \n
  • Evaluate and manage orthopedic trauma and fracture patients
  • \n
  • Provide postoperative evaluation and follow-up care
  • \n
  • Manage fractures and complex orthopedic conditions
  • \n
  • Coordinate ongoing orthopedic trauma care across the inpatient and outpatient settings
  • \n
  • Participate in surgical cases and gain valuable OR exposure
  • \n
  • Provide a clinic component focused on orthopedic trauma and postoperative follow-up
  • \n
  • Collaborate closely with multiple orthopedic trauma surgeons and APPs
  • \n
  • Participate in a rotating call schedule
  • \n
  • Potential opportunity to pick up additional shifts
  • \n

Patient Volume & Surgical Exposure

\n
    \n
  • Approximately 30–35 patients per day
  • \n
  • Diverse patient mix including acute orthopedic trauma, fractures, postoperative patients, and complex orthopedic conditions
  • \n
  • Combination of inpatient, ED, OR, consultation, and outpatient/clinic responsibilities
  • \n

Clinical Scope

\n

The APP will be involved throughout the orthopedic trauma patient's continuum of care, including:

  • Fracture management
  • \n
  • Acute orthopedic trauma evaluation
  • \n
  • Postoperative care
  • \n
  • Trauma follow-up
  • \n
  • Diagnosis and treatment of complex orthopedic conditions
  • \n
  • Inpatient consultations and rounds
  • \n
  • Coordination of ongoing orthopedic trauma care
  • \n
  • Outpatient and postoperative follow-up
  • \n
