Quick Facts: Location: Spokane, WA (101 West 8th Avenue, ZIP 99204) Start Date: 08/12/2026 End Date/Duration: Ongoing as needed Shift: Call-only, 24-hour beeper call shifts (7AM-7AM) Hours/Week: Variable (4-10 shifts per month) Employment Type: Contract/Locum License/Certs: Active WA medical license, DEA required, Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery with Hand Surgery fellowship Experience: Prior hand surgery experience preferred Pay & Benefits: Pay Rate: $1.00 per hour (rate to be filled out on bid) Weekly pay via direct deposit Medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time (per applicable laws) Reimbursements for licensure, certifications, travel, and other expenses when applicable What You’ll Do: Provide inpatient orthopedic hand surgery coverage on a call basis Respond to emergent cases during 24-hour shifts Collaborate with the medical team to deliver quality patient care Document patient assessments and interventions accurately Participate in on-call duties including on-call callbacks and follow-ups Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures Be available for 4-10 shifts per month, with no guaranteed hours during shifts What You Need: Active medical license in Washington State DEA certification Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery; fellowship in Hand Surgery preferred Proven experience in hand or orthopedic surgery Ability to handle 24-hour on-call shifts independently Excellent communication and clinical skills About the Assignment: Join a dynamic team at a leading facility in Spokane, WA, providing specialized hand surgery care.
