- The Registered Nurse is accountable for the practice of Professional Nursing, which includes overseeing patient care and managing assigned staff.
- May take on the responsibilities of Charge Nurse and is accountable for maintaining professional standards.
- Follows established policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and safeguard patient safety.
Job Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree or Nursing Diploma.
- A valid New Mexico Nursing license or a compact license (to be obtained within 90 days of hire).
- BLS certification must be secured within 14 days of hire or transfer into this role, prior to delivering direct patient care.
- The hiring department may also require ACLS and/or PALS certifications.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Two years of experience in a specialized area.
- Two years of general nursing experience.
