  • The Registered Nurse is accountable for the practice of Professional Nursing, which includes overseeing patient care and managing assigned staff.
  • May take on the responsibilities of Charge Nurse and is accountable for maintaining professional standards.
  • Follows established policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and safeguard patient safety.
Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Associate’s Degree or Nursing Diploma.
  • A valid New Mexico Nursing license or a compact license (to be obtained within 90 days of hire).
  • BLS certification must be secured within 14 days of hire or transfer into this role, prior to delivering direct patient care.
  • The hiring department may also require ACLS and/or PALS certifications.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
  • Two years of experience in a specialized area.
  • Two years of general nursing experience.
