Position Summary
The Wire Draw Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring wire drawing equipment to reduce metal rod or wire to specified diameters and quality standards. This position ensures safe, efficient production while maintaining product specifications, equipment performance, and workplace cleanliness.
Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate wire drawing machines according to production schedules and specifications.
  • Load wire rods and materials into drawing equipment.
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain proper wire diameter, surface finish, and quality standards.
  • Perform routine quality inspections using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Record production data, quality checks, and downtime information accurately.
  • Troubleshoot minor machine issues and notify maintenance personnel of major equipment problems.
  • Replace dies, lubricants, and other consumable materials as needed.
  • Follow work instructions, manufacturing procedures, and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Assist with material handling, packaging, and movement of finished products.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and customer requirements.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing, metal processing, wire drawing, or machine operation experience preferred.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments is a plus.
  • Ability to read and follow production orders and work instructions.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to use measuring equipment accurately.
  • Basic math and problem-solving skills.


Pay Details: $18.00 to $25.00 per hour
