Baystate Health is a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system in western Massachusetts which consists of an academic medical center, three community hospitals and the region’s largest multispecialty group. Our flagship hospital, Baystate Medical Center, is home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School-Baystate. We are seeking an experienced Ob/Gyn physician to lead our Women’s Health practices located in Northampton and Greenfield, Mass.

\nPOSITION HIGHLIGHTS:

- Lead a team of 4 physicians, 1 Advanced Practitioners and 13 Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs), all committed to providing exceptional, patient-centered, evidence-based, and trauma-informed care. \n
\n

- As the only OBGYN service in Franklin County, we perform approximately 450 births annually in our 93-bed community hospital. Our CNMs manage vaginal births and assist with C-sections, while our physicians focus on complex OB consultations, GYN ambulatory care, and GYN surgical procedures. Notably, we maintain one of the lowest C-section rates in Massachusetts. \n

Compensation: $272,875-$405,000
\nThe compensation ranges in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full-time commitment for exempt employees.
\nQualifications: ABMS BC in Ob/Gyn. Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience with evidence of progressive management responsibilities and leadership in an academic department. Demonstrable record of collaboration, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, academic productivity, enthusiasm for medical education and mentoring faculty and ability to engage a broad base of potential stakeholders to work towards a shared vision.
