An exciting senior leadership opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Director to join a leading infrastructure contractor working on a major, long-term infrastructure programme in Kent.This role will provide strategic commercial leadership across a significant project environment, working closely with senior project, operational and business leadership.The RoleAs Commercial Director, you will take overall responsibility for the commercial strategy and performance of the project.Key responsibilities will include:Providing strategic commercial leadership across the projectLeading and developing the commercial teamEstablishing and implementing commercial strategyMaintaining overall control of project financial performanceOverseeing forecasting, CVRs and cost-to-complete reportingManaging commercial risk and opportunitiesLeading major procurement and subcontract negotiationsProviding senior-level contract and commercial adviceManaging change, variations and commercial negotiationsSupporting dispute avoidance and resolutionMaintaining strong client and stakeholder relationshipsEnsuring robust commercial governance across the projectWorking closely with the Project Director and senior leadership teamSupporting wider business objectives and commercial strategyAbout YouThe successful candidate will be an experienced senior commercial professional with:Significant experience operating at Commercial Director / Senior Commercial Manager levelA strong background in civil engineering, infrastructure or major constructionExperience leading sizeable commercial teamsStrong NEC and contract management experienceProven experience managing complex, high-value projectsStrong commercial strategy and financial management capabilityExcellent negotiation and stakeholder management skillsExperience working closely with Project Directors and senior leadershipThis is a high-profile, long-term opportunity for a commercially driven leader looking to take responsibility for a significant infrastructure programme and play a key role in its successful delivery.To find out more, contact Harry Buckland at Aldwych Consulting:Aldwych Consulting values diversity and promotes equality.
