\nWe are seeking 2 talented and motivated Python Developers, one with 1-2 years experience and the other with 2-4 years of experience to join our clients technology team. You will play a key role in building, and maintaining software solutions that support our clients business systems, data pipelines, and automation initiatives.
\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a developer who enjoys writing clean, efficient code and wants to contribute to projects with real business impact, including data integration, workflow automation, and system modernisation.

\n\nKey Accountabilities
\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain Python applications, scripts, and services
\nBuild and maintain APIs and integrations with third-party systems and internal platforms
\nWrite clean, well-documented, and testable code following best practices (PEP 8, SOLID principles)
\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams (product, data, QA, operations) to translate business requirements into technical solutions
\nParticipate in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies
\nTroubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues in a timely manner
\nContribute to the design and optimisation of data pipelines and database interactions
\nSupport CI/CD pipeline development and deployment automation
\nWrite and maintain unit, integration, and regression tests
\nStay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements where relevant
\nAssist in 2nd/3rd line support
\n\nQualifications
\nGCSEs in maths and English or equivalent
\nDegree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) desirable
\n\nKnowledge
\n2-4 years of professional experience developing applications in Python
\nStrong understanding of Python fundamentals, object-oriented programming, and design patterns
\nExperience with at least one modern Python web framework (e.g. Django, Flask, or FastAPI)
\nSolid understanding of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and SQL
\nExperience with version control (Git) and collaborative workflows (e.g. GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket)
\nExperience with RESTful API design and integration
\nExperience of software testing principles and experience writing unit tests (e.g. pytest, unittest)
\nComfortable working in an Agile/Scrum environment
\nGood understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and CI/CD principles
\nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
\nGood communication skills, both written and verbal
\n\n\nSkills/Abilities/ Competencies

\nDeliver to agreed timescales, or to highlight issues as soon as they arise if likely to affect those timescales
\nThe ability to work and communicate effectively within a team
\nAbility to write unit tests and to understand how to perform integration testing
\nAnalysing and clarifying requirements & technical designs
\nPerform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other developers
\nPaying attention to the security requirements of working within a PCI-DSS accredited environment, specifically writing secure code
\nCommunicating effectively throughout the development process with all stake holders and management
\nGain insights of the business within the market based on an understanding of business trends
\n\nDesirable skills
\nExperience of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
\nExperience of containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
\nExposure to data engineering tools/libraries (e.g. Pandas, NumPy) or NLP libraries
\nKnowledge of message queues/event-driven architecture (e.g. RabbitMQ, Kafka)
\nUnderstanding of CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
\nExperience working in a regulated industry (e.g. financial services, insurance, healthcare)
\nFamiliarity with front-end basics (JavaScript, HTML/CSS) for full-stack contributions
\nKnowledge of software security best practices
