Plant Fitter

Location: EssexSalary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annumHours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 5:00pm

We are recruiting for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join an established engineering team supporting a broad range of plant and machinery.

This is a hands-on position suited to an experienced engineer who can independently diagnose faults, carry out repairs and keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
\n
• Carry out routine servicing, inspections and testing.
\n
• Complete planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.
\n
• Attend customer and operational sites to diagnose and repair equipment.
\n
• Use computerised diagnostic equipment to identify faults.
\n
• Complete accurate service records, job sheets and supporting documentation.
\n
• Manage repairs from initial diagnosis through to completion.
\n
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
\n

The role will involve working on a varied range of mobile and site-based equipment, including:

• Excavators
\n
• Dumpers and dump trucks
\n
• Crushers and screeners
\n
• Wheeled loaders
\n
• Skid-steer loaders
\n
• Compaction equipment
\n
• Generators and pumps
\n
• Lifting equipment
\n
• Hydraulic attachments
\n
• Hand tools and associated site equipment
\n

The successful candidate will have:

\n
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Mobile Plant Fitter or similar.
\n
• Strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic fault-finding skills.
\n
• Experience using computerised diagnostic equipment.
\n
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
\n
• The ability to complete clear and accurate service documentation.
\n
• Your own tools.
\n
• A full, clean UK driving licence.
\n
