About the roleReporting to the Management Accountant, you will be supporting the Management Accounting team to produce the monthly management accounts for a number of companies within the group. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge with the experience to analyse complex financial data in a precise manner and is a natural mentor who thrives in a fast-paced environment where prioritising tasks to meet deadlines is crucial.ResponsibilitiesAssist the Management Accountant in the preparation of the periodic management accounts for the group companies, the maintenance of the chart of accounts within the accounting software, provide yearend support to ensure seamless yearend process, and to ensure KPIs and deadlines are metGenerate periodic financial reports, including profitability and variance analysis as well as analysing product marginsSupport the budgeting process for the group companies to ensure accurate budgets are produced in a timely mannerEnsure that accruals, prepayments, depreciation are recorded in a timely manner within each period closeReconciliation of VAT and other assigned balance sheet accounts on a regular basis, and periodic reconciliation of the group bank accountsWork with the management accounting team during the audit and support the yearly statutory accounts reporting processTracking and monitoring of inventory levels, costs, analysis and posting of inventory journals and oversee the quarterly stock take processEnsure agreement of intercompany transactions and conduct periodic reconciliations with other businesses within the GroupSupport the continuous improvement of the management accounting department to ensure efficiency, accuracy and best practice, and ensure adherence to the Companys procedures and financial complianceAssist the Management Accountant and the Senior Finance Management in other ad hoc responsibilities as requiredWhat were looking forQualified Accountant or a Finalist (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)Minimum of 2 years Management Accounts experience within a high volume environmentAdvanced Excel skillsAbility to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely to non-financial stakeholdersKeen attention to detail with excellent time management and organisational skillsStrong data analysis experienceSelf-starter with an aptitude to take on new challengesWhat we offerCompetitive salary with opportunities to progressHybrid Working (One Day WFH)Full training and support from day oneStaff discounts on optical and hearing products28 days annual leave including bank holidays (pro-rata)TPBN1_UKTJ
