Job Title: Maintenance EngineerLocation: Bedford, BedfordshireSalary: £50,000 – £53,000Shift: 2's and 3's Days and NightsJob Role of the Maintenance EngineerWe are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and successful packaging manufacturer in Bedford. The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for maintaining a wide range of automated production and packaging machinery, completing planned preventative maintenance and responding efficiently to electrical and mechanical breakdowns.This is an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and wants to join a business that offers long-term stability, technical development and further career progression.Sector – Factory MaintenanceNon-Negotiable Requirements for the Maintenance EngineerThe Maintenance Engineer must hold a recognised electrical or mechanical engineering qualification.The Maintenance Engineer must have previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing, production, packaging, FMCG or automated environment.The Maintenance Engineer must be comfortable working a 2's and 3's days and nights shift pattern.The Maintenance Engineer must have experience completing planned and reactive maintenance.Requirements for the Maintenance EngineerCarrying out planned preventative maintenance on production and packaging machinery.Responding quickly to electrical and mechanical breakdowns.Fault finding on motors, sensors, conveyors, bearings, chains, gearboxes and automated machinery.Identifying recurring faults and supporting continuous improvement projects.Working closely with production teams to reduce downtime and improve machine reliability.Completing maintenance records and ensuring all work is carried out safely.Supporting machinery installations, modifications and improvement projects.Desirable Requirements for the Maintenance EngineerExperience working within the packaging, FMCG or manufacturing industry.Electrical fault-finding experience, including three-phase systems, control panels, inverters and PLC-controlled machinery.Mechanical experience working with bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes and pneumatic systems.Experience working with automated production lines, conveyors or packaging equipment.This is a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join a stable and growing packaging manufacturer that continues to invest in its site, machinery and engineering team.Please contact Joe McAuliffe at Pioneer Selection for further information or to apply for the Maintenance Engineer position.TPBN1_UKTJ
