HGV Technician

David Fox Transport is an established family run road haulage business operating a modern fleet of vehicles and trailers. Our recently constructed premises includes a purpose built 4 bay workshop, which is an excellent facility.We are seeking an experienced HGV Fitter/Technician to join our Workshop team. Flexible shift patterns can be offered across both front and back shifts.Ideal candidates will have the following attributes: -A good working knowledge of commercial vehiclesProven experience of maintaining and repairing commercial vehiclesExperience of fault diagnosis and repairs using diagnostic equipment such as Jaltest, STAR Xentry, Texa, Haldex.Good understanding of DVSA maintenance/road worthiness standardsResponsibilities include: -Carrying out MOT Inspections and preparationsPerforming regular servicing and inspectionsRoutine maintenance and repairs to both trailers and tractor unitsApplicants with mechanical experience from a light engineering background are encouraged to apply, as training will be provided.Remuneration to be discussed at interview and will be commensurate with experience / technical ability.TPBN1_UKTJ
