We are looking for a friendly and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Hockley from September 2026.

This role offers the stability of a full academic year, alongside the exciting possibility of continuing with the school beyond the initial contract. You'll become an important part of the classroom team, supporting pupils with their learning, confidence and development while working closely with teachers and other members of staff.

It's an ideal role for a Teaching Assistant who already has experience in a primary school and is keen to find a position where they can settle in, make an impact and potentially build a longer-term career.

Your Responsibilities

• Work alongside the class teacher to support effective learning
\n
• Provide one-to-one and small group assistance where needed
\n
• Help pupils overcome barriers to learning and develop independence
\n
• Encourage children to participate positively in classroom activities
\n
• Support with interventions and additional learning activities
\n
• Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of resources
\n
• Promote positive behaviour and strong relationships
\n
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
