Commercial Property Solicitor
Job Description
Commercial Property Solicitor
\n£45,000–£55,000 DOE | Flexible/Hybrid Working
\nYou have qualified, built a solid foundation in commercial property and now need a firm that will let you develop, rather than keeping you permanently attached to someone else’s files.
\nA modern and expanding Essex practice is looking for a Commercial Property Solicitor with around 1–2+ years’ PQE. An experienced commercial-property paralegal who can demonstrate comparable ability will also be considered at an appropriate salary level.
\nWhat’s in it for you?
\n- \n
- £45,000–£55,000 for qualified applicants \n
- Flexible and hybrid working \n
- 26 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays \n
- The office closes between Christmas and New Year \n
- Pension scheme and Medicash health cash plan \n
- Professional training and development \n
- Discounted parking \n
- Regular team get-togethers \n
- Genuine scope to progress quickly as the department grows \n
- A reportedly unreasonable quantity of office cake \n
The role
\nYou will manage a varied commercial-property caseload while working closely with experienced colleagues. Matters will include:
\n- \n
- Commercial property acquisitions and disposals \n
- Landlord and tenant leases \n
- Lease assignments and surrenders \n
- SIPP purchases and leasebacks \n
- Option agreements for owners and developers \n
- Residential lease extensions and collective enfranchisement \n
- Building new relationships within the local commercial market \n
- Supporting departmental growth and wider business-development activity \n
You
\nYou will ideally be a solicitor with 1–2+ years’ PQE and practical commercial-property experience.
\nAlternatively, you may be an experienced paralegal who can demonstrate strong technical knowledge and the ability to manage work with appropriate supervision.
\nYou will also need:
\n- \n
- Clear and confident communication skills \n
- Strong organisation and attention to detail \n
- A proactive approach to client relationships \n
- High professional and ethical standards \n
- The ambition to take ownership of your development \n
- A positive, team-focused attitude \n
The firm has grown quickly without losing its personality. This is a good opening for someone who wants proper responsibility, approachable colleagues and visible career development.
