Mental Health Solicitor
\nLocation: East London Salary: £42,000–£50,000 DOE
\nAn established East London practice is seeking an accredited Mental Health Solicitor to join its Community Law team. You will work alongside lawyers specialising across mental health, housing, debt and community care, representing clients whose cases require both technical ability and a very human approach.

The role
\nYou will manage a caseload of mental health matters, provide clear and practical advice and undertake advocacy where required.
\nThe position will involve:

- Advising and representing clients in mental health proceedings \n
- Conducting advocacy \n
- Managing cases independently and efficiently \n
- Working sensitively with vulnerable clients \n
- Maintaining strong client and professional relationships \n
- Collaborating with colleagues across complementary social welfare disciplines \n
You
\nYou must have:
\n- \n
- At least three years’ PQE, or equivalent experience \n
- Law Society Mental Health Accreditation \n
- Previous advocacy experience \n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills \n
- The ability to build trust with clients \n
- An organised, flexible and compassionate approach \n
This will suit a solicitor who wants responsibility and intellectually engaging work but also wants their caseload to have a visible impact beyond the billable hour.
