In-House Legal & IP Director (8 hours per week) - Remote

We are working with a leading medical devices company who are seeking an experienced Legal & Intellectual Property Director to join their in-house team. This is a part-time role (either 1 day per week or 8 hours over the week) that can be worked remotely with occasional office attendance.

Candidates must be either a qualified UK or US Patent Attorney and have expertise in medical devices. A minimum of 7 years' post qualification experience is required and candidates must be based in either the United Kingdom or Ireland.

Duties:

• Directing end-to-end IP strategy.
\n
• Drafting, prosecuting, and managing patent applications.
\n
• Drawing up, reviewing, and negotiating agreements and contracts.
\n
• Working closely with different teams to support the firm’s initiatives.
\n
• Improving legal and IP operations.
\n
• Handling risk management.
\n
• Liaising with outside counsel as required.
\n
