Aesthetics TechnicianLocation: SouthamptonDuration of Contract: 6 MonthsPay Rate: £24.23 per hour Umbrella / £18.88 per hour PAYEPurpose of RoleTo undertake all aspects of the internal and external aesthetics maintenance, ensuring that all work carried out meets customer requirements to the specified standard. To carry out train presentation exams.Principal AccountabilitiesUndertake train presentation examinations in accordance with the Train Presentation Exam regimeCarry out internal and external repairs and maintenance of fixtures & fittings on the train in accordance with the standards set out by Siemens MobilityAssist other team members with the development of basic technical skillsUndertake any other duties as and when requiredKnowledge & ExperienceEssentialGood knowledge in the use of hand toolsKnowledge of Rolling stock Aesthetics maintenance proceduresExperienced in use of Microsoft applicationsAbility to complete all records of actions and operations accurately and to proceduresUnderstands and cares for tools, equipment and PPE as appropriateKnowledge of Health & Safety including bio-hazards, manual handling and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)Ability to understand and interpret relevant technical publicationsSafety critically assessedPreferredRelevant experience in a mechanical/electrical engineering environmentcarpet fitting experience would be an advantageExperience in Paint application and mixing but not essentialExperienced in vinyl applications and filming but not essentialKnowledge of Depot Maintenance systemsHealth, Safety & Environmental ResponsibilitiesAccept a personal responsibility to take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of other persons who may be affected by their acts and omissionsTake reasonable care to avoid acts or omissions that could have an environmental impactEnsure compliance with the BMS procedures relative to their positionFollow emergency proceduresWear approved protective clothing and using safety equipment when required by health and safety regulationsUse all equipment provided safely and notifying local management of any observed deficiencies or defects as soon as they become apparentInform management of any changes in materials, plant or processes and of any new materials, plant or processes which become apparent in the course of work that may impact on safety or the environmentInform management of any potential improvements that could improve Siemens environmental performanceImmediately inform management of any observed hazards, injuries or dangerous occurrences, which become apparent during workStop work when instructed to do so and only resume or commence work when instructed it is safe to do soReport all safety and environmental incidents and accidentsCooperate with the employer to ensure their statutory duties are fulfilledAll PPE provided by the client and Health and Safety explained before and on site.Rullion supports applications from a diverse talent pool.
