Maintenance FitterInvergordon, ScotlandSalary: c 45,205 + OvertimeMC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Maintenance Fitter on behalf of a leading, well-established timber processing group operating across Ireland and the UK, based at their site in Invergordon.As part of the Maintenance team, you will ensure quality workmanship is delivered across all site equipment and machinery, within the demanding constraints of minimising downtime and maximising production, while working closely as part of a team.As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for:Providing and developing preventative maintenance regimes covering hydraulic and mechanical equipment across the siteRepairing and rebuilding hydraulic and pneumatic equipmentWelding, cutting and grinding as requiredRepairing and building pumps and gearboxesCarrying out chipper knife changes where necessaryUsing risk assessments and safe systems of work for the execution of all tasksPromoting health and safety awareness among employees and contractorsWorking flexibly across a rotating day/night shift pattern as part of a teamOther duties as requiredTo be considered for this role you should have:A time-served Maintenance Fitter qualification, or relevant mechanical experience gained in an industrial environmentStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills for fault-finding, installation and repairsHands-on experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical systemsWelding, grinding and cutting experienceKnowledge of bearings, belts, chains, pumps and gearboxesGood computer literacyFlexibility to work a rotating shift pattern, including nights and weekendsThis is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and growing business with a strong reputation and genuine long-term career opportunities.The offer:This is a permanent, full-time roleWeek 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday (Dayshift) – 6.45am to 6.45pmWeek 2: Wednesday, Thursday (Dayshift) – 6.45am to 6.45pmWeek 3: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday (Nightshift) – 6.45am to 6.45pmWeek 4: Wednesday, Thursday (Nightshift) – 6.45am to 6.45pmrotating day/night shift pattern (6.45am to 6.45pm).
