Job Description

We're looking for an Operative to join our South WestWater team based in Bournemouth.Location: BournemouthHours: 45 hours per week covering shifts across Monday to Sunday. There will also be a requirement to join an On Call rota.We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.As an Operative, you'll be working within the South WestWater team, supporting them in working on schemes including mains repairs, new connections, and metering, all within a team that values comradery and collaboration. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of health and safety, creating a secure and protected work environment which is always the highest priority at Kier.What will you be responsible for?As an Operative, you'll be working within the South WestWater team, supporting them in working on schemes including mains repairs, new connections, and metering. Your day to day will include:Undertaking planned or reactive work as directed from water services to large diameter mainsEnsuring levels of productivity working within timescales and to targetsUpdating all relevant documentation on each job using a tabletBeing part of a rapid response team that works around the clock to deliver and restore clean waterPromoting wellbeing and ensuring an inclusive workplace where diversity is actively encouragedWhat are we looking for?This role of Operative is great for you if you have:Previous experience in highways or utilities.Hold a Full driving licenceA CSCS card, EUSRWaterHygiene, or NRSWAcertification(however trainingcanbe provided)The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver quality resultsWe're all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferrable skills are always welcome!
