£30,000 - £35,000 Basic Salary + Progression + Training + Benefits

This may be the ideal opportunity for you. Our client is looking for a mechanically biased hands-on engineer to help with their R&D.

Your Role as a Heating Development Engineer:

\n
    \n
  • Based daily from the Wednesbury and working with the development manager.
  • \n
  • This role is heavily hands-on and practical (70%) rather than theoretical.
  • \n
  • You'll be looking at existing products and systems and determining how they can be modified or improved.\n
      \n
    • Working with valves, fans, heat exchangers, and PCB's amongst other parts.
    • \n
    • Looking at competitors products.
    • \n
  • \n
  • The remaining 30% of the role will include:\n
      \n
    • Updating product certification.
    • \n
    • Provide technical support to the wider engineering team and customers.
    • \n
    • General day-to-day admin.
    • \n
  • \n
  • Mon - Fri position, 35 hours per week, starting between 7am and 9am as you need.
  • \n

Ideal Background for the Heating Development Engineer Position:

    \n
  • Some mechanical hands-on skills and a genuine interest in engineering, development, and ideally, heating.
  • \n
  • This role would suit a domestic/commercial heating engineer looking to come off the tools.\n
      \n
    • It could also suit an engineer from the Armed Forces, or somebody who has completed a mechanical engineering qualification or apprenticeship and looking for a new challenge.
    • \n
  • \n
  • Have an inquisitive, methodical attitude.
  • \n
  • Report writing skills.
  • \n
  • Strong communication skills.
  • \n
  • Able and willing to commute daily to Wednesbury.
  • \n
  • Full right to work in the UK as sponsorship cannot be provided.
  • \n
