Responsibilities for a Graduate Urban Designer will include:
\n- \n
- Supporting the preparation of masterplans, frameworks and urban design proposals \n
- Producing plans, diagrams, presentations and design material \n
- Undertaking site and contextual analysis \n
- Assisting with feasibility studies and design development \n
- Contributing to design codes, design guidance and planning documents \n
- Supporting the preparation of planning applications and associated material \n
- Producing high-quality visualisations and presentation material \n
- Working collaboratively with architects, planners, consultants and clients \n
- Researching and applying best-practice principles in sustainable placemaking and urban design \n
- Developing your understanding of the planning and development process \n
Requirements for the Graduate Urban Designer role includes:
\n- \n
- A relevant degree in Urban Design, Town Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture or a related discipline \n
- A genuine interest in urban design, placemaking and the built environment \n
- Strong graphic and presentation skills \n
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Sketchup \n
- An understanding of masterplanning principles and spatial design \n
- Good written and verbal communication skills \n
- A creative and analytical approach to problem solving \n
- Good attention to detail and an ability to manage deadlines \n
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team \n
