Senior CAD Technician

FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an award-winning multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with the recruitment of a Senior CAD Technician.

Permanent position. This role will be based at the company’s Sheffield office.

The successful candidate will work alongside Civil and Structural Engineers on a varied range of residential, commercial and industrial developments.

Key Responsibilities

\n
• Produce and update technical drawings using AutoCAD.
\n
• Prepare General Arrangement drawings, structural layouts and construction details.
\n
• Support structural projects involving steel, concrete, timber and reinforced concrete.
\n
• Assist Civil Engineers with external works, site layouts and drainage drawings.
\n
• Work across projects ranging from individual residential properties to larger commercial and industrial developments.
\n
• Coordinate drawings with Engineers, Architects and other members of the project team.
\n
• Maintain accurate drawing information and support projects through agreed deadlines.
\n
• Assist and support more junior Technicians where appropriate.
\n

Skills & Experience

\n
• Previous experience working as a CAD Technician, Engineering Technician or in a similar role.
\n
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD.
\n
• Some experience within civil, structural or construction-related engineering.
\n
• Understanding of technical drawings and construction detailing.
\n
• ONC, HNC, HND or similar Civil/Structural Engineering qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
\n
• Experience with steel, concrete, timber or reinforced concrete detailing would be beneficial.
\n
• Exposure to external works or drainage drawings would also be advantageous.
\n
• Good attention to detail and ability to work accurately to deadlines.
\n
• Strong communication skills and willingness to continue developing technically.
\n
