Monday - Friday 6am-3.30pm & 1.30pm-10pm / 1 in 2 Saturdays (half day)\n
\nWe are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join an established commercial vehicle dealership in Crayford, Kent.\n
\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified technician to join a manufacturer-backed workshop, working on a wide range of modern heavy commercial vehicles in a professional and well-equipped environment.\n
\nThe Crayford operation has a dedicated commercial vehicle workshop with multiple full-length bays, alongside specialist testing and maintenance facilities.\n
Key Responsibilities\n

    \n
  • Carry out servicing, inspections, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles.
  • \n
  • Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
  • \n
  • Use manufacturer diagnostic equipment to identify complex vehicle faults.
  • \n
  • Carry out repairs to engines, transmissions, braking, suspension, steering and drivetrain systems.
  • \n
  • Complete preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
  • \n
  • Carry out electrical fault-finding and repairs, including modern vehicle electrical systems.
  • \n
  • Ensure all work is completed to manufacturer standards and within required timescales.
  • \n
  • Complete accurate job cards, inspection sheets and associated paperwork.
  • \n
  • Identify additional repair requirements and communicate these effectively to the Workshop Controller.
  • \n
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment.
  • \n
  • Work as part of a professional workshop team to achieve high levels of first-time-fix and customer satisfaction.

About You\n
\nWe're looking for a qualified HGV Technician who takes pride in their workmanship and enjoys working within a busy commercial vehicle environment.\n
Ideally, you will have:\n

    \n
  • Previous experience as an HGV Technician, Truck Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
  • \n
  • A recognised Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
  • \n
  • Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
  • \n
  • Experience working on modern HGVs and commercial vehicles.
  • \n
  • The ability to use diagnostic equipment effectively.
  • \n
  • A good understanding of vehicle electrical systems and fault-finding.
  • \n
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • \n
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • \n
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • \n
