Electro-Mechanical Winder

\n

Location: Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey

\n

Build It. Test It. Get It Right. We’re looking for a hands-on Electro-Mechanical Winder to join our manufacturing team.

\n

\n

You’ll build, inspect, test, repair and upgrade electro-mechanical assemblies, working from technical drawings and manufacturing instructions. If you’re practical, precise and take pride in producing high-quality work, this could be a great opportunity.

The Role

\n
    \n
  • Build electro-mechanical assemblies from technical drawings, CMMs and SOPs.
  • \n
  • Work on motors, fans, heaters and other electro-mechanical products.
  • \n
  • Use hand tools and precision measuring equipment including torque drivers, micrometers and verniers.
  • \n
  • Carry out drilling, tapping, reaming, countersinking, filing, lapping, buffing and lubrication.
  • \n
  • Connect cables and wiring to technical specifications.
  • \n
  • Inspect and test completed assemblies, identifying and troubleshooting faults.
  • \n
  • Carry out repairs and upgrades where required.
  • \n
  • Complete manufacturing and quality documentation accurately.
  • \n
  • Maintain equipment and a clean, safe working environment.
  • \n
  • Follow all manufacturing, quality and safety procedures.
  • \n
  • Contribute to 5S and Continuous Improvement activities.
  • \n
  • Work closely with colleagues and support customers, suppliers and visitors when required.
  • \n
  • Support training and other manufacturing activities when needed.
  • \n

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in electro-mechanical assembly, manufacturing or engineering is advantageous.
  • \n
  • Comfortable working from technical drawings and manufacturing instructions.
  • \n
  • Confident using hand tools and measuring equipment.
  • \n
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • \n
  • Practical, reliable and methodical approach to work.
  • \n
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • \n
  • Flexible attitude and willingness to learn.
  • \n
  • Able to work safely and meet production deadlines.
  • \n
