Job Description
Morgan McKinley is partnering exclusively with an acquisitive business based in Tiverton, to recruit a Financial Controller.
\n\n\nMy client has ambitious growth plans and c£40m of annual revenue, and is looking to recruit an experienced and operationally strong Financial Controller to lead the finance function and support the Group's continued growth.
\n\n\nThe Role
\n\n\nReporting to the CFO, this role will oversee the finance team and day-today finance operations, with a remit to drive through transformation.
\n\n\nResponsibilities will include:

- Lead monthly close process and produce consolidated Group P&L, Balance Sheet and cash flow reporting \n
- Coordinate and consolidate the annual budgeting and reforecasting processes \n
- Lead the annual statutory audit, and strengthen financial controls and governance frameworks \n
- Own the Group's cash flow forecasting process and working capital management \n
- Stakeholder support including partnering with operational leaders to improve financial performance \n
- Lead, develop and mentor a team of seven \n
- Involvement with strategic initiatives such as systems transformation, process improvements and M&A \n
The Person
\n\n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Qualified Accountant looking for a pivotal role in a growing organisation, which will offer broad exposure to a range of operational and strategic finance initiatives.
\n\n\nYou will need to possess experience as a Financial Controller or in another senior finance leadership role, along with strong technical accounting skills and previous experience of leading and developing finance teams and managing group consolidations across multiple entities.
\n\n\nStrong stakeholder management skills are essential, in addition to proven experience of improving finance processes, systems and reporting.
\n\n\nPrevious PE or multi-site experience is also highly desirable, and you must be comfortable operating in both strategic and hands-on environments. Knowledge of Power BI would also be beneficial but not essential.

\n\nMy client is also looking to create a Bristol office in the next 9-12 months, so there is scope for this role to be based in Tiverton or Bristol.
