We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to provide proactive and reactive building maintenance services. This role is crucial in ensuring that our healthcare properties are maintained to the highest standards, ensuring safety and compliance while supporting the client's core activities.

Day-to-day of the role:

\n
• Liaise closely with the Help Desk to ensure all reporting systems are implemented and kept up to date.
\n
• Act as the Health and Safety Representative, conducting routine health and safety checks and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.
\n
• Contribute to the development of the premises ethos and culture as part of the site operational team.
\n
• Provide a safe and compliant building and facilities to support the client’s core activities.
\n
• Cover sites within the portfolio for colleague absence or annual leave as delegated by the Senior Site Supervisor or Facilities Manager.
\n
• Induct and supervise external contractors or visitors on site.
\n
• Oversee works by appointed third parties and be the main point of contact on site.
\n
• Issue relevant permits to work and complete supply chain appraisals, providing feedback as necessary.
\n
• Carry out statutory and preventative maintenance checks on plant and equipment.
\n
• Maintain the site maintenance logbook/CAFM system and action tasks as appropriate.
\n
• Ensure all public access areas including car parks are unobstructed and free from litter and major debris.
\n

Required Skills & Qualifications:

\n
• Organised thinker with basic DIY skills.
\n
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to listen.
\n
• Good timekeeping and prioritisation abilities.
\n
• Valid Driving Licence.
\n
• Skills in conflict management and first aid.
\n
• Awareness of Legionella and Fire Safety.
\n
• DBS check will be applicable.
\n
• Proactive and a strong team player, approachable and responsive in client-facing roles.
\n
