We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Compliance Analyst to join a growing compliance function within a dynamic underwriting business. This is an excellent opportunity for a compliance professional looking to develop broad exposure across a range of regulatory and compliance activities while supporting the business in maintaining a strong culture of governance, customer focus, and regulatory compliance.The role will suit an individual with experience in a generalist compliance position, including exposure to conduct risk, regulatory monitoring, and complaints handling within the insurance or financial services sector.Key Responsibilities\n

  • Support the day-to-day operation of the compliance framework across the business.
  • \n
  • Assist in the identification, assessment and monitoring of regulatory and compliance risks.
  • \n
  • Conduct compliance monitoring reviews and contribute to reporting on findings and recommendations.
  • \n
  • Support the management and oversight of conduct risk, helping to ensure fair customer outcomes are embedded throughout business processes.
  • \n
  • Review and analyse complaints data, identify trends and support root cause analysis and remediation activities.
  • \n
  • Monitor regulatory developments and assess potential impacts on the business.
  • \n
  • Assist with policy and procedure reviews, ensuring documentation remains accurate and up to date.
  • \n
  • Support the delivery of compliance training and awareness initiatives.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across underwriting, operations and management teams to provide practical compliance advice and guidance.
  • \n
  • Assist with regulatory reporting, governance committee reporting and compliance management information (MI).
  • \n
  • Support internal audits, regulatory reviews and other assurance activities as required.
  • \n
About You\n
    \n
  • Previous experience within a compliance role in the insurance, underwriting, MGA or wider financial services sector.
  • \n
  • Good understanding of UK regulatory requirements and compliance principles.
  • \n
  • Experience supporting conduct risk frameworks and customer outcome initiatives.
  • \n
  • Exposure to complaints handling, complaints oversight or complaints analysis.
  • \n
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify themes and emerging risks.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • \n
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • \n
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • \n
Desirable\n
    \n
  • Knowledge of FCA regulatory requirements and expectations.
  • \n
  • Experience working within an underwriting, insurance or specialty insurance environment.
  • \n
  • Exposure to compliance monitoring programmes.
  • \n
  • Relevant compliance qualification (ICA or equivalent), or currently studying towards one.
  • \n
