Climate17 are working alongside a British renewable energy business who are specialists in the Operations and Maintenance of commercial rooftop and ground mounted Solar PV assets.

\n


\n

Due to continued growth, they are actively looking to hire a Technical Manager to act as the technical link between the field engineering teams and their client base. The successful candidate will be helping to diagnose issues, develop remedial solutions, prepare quotations, and provide technical support across their operational solar portfolio.

Responsibilities

\n
    \n
  • Review and interpret engineer reports, inspection findings and test results.
  • \n
  • Analyse faults and identify appropriate remedial actions.
  • \n
  • Communicate technical findings and recommendations clearly to clients.
  • \n
  • Provide technical support to Asset Managers and Operations teams.
  • \n
  • Assist with technical aspects of client reporting and maintenance recommendations.
  • \n
  • Prepare quotations for corrective and remedial works.
  • \n
  • Develop scopes of work for engineering teams and subcontractors.
  • \n
  • Assess labour, equipment and material requirements.
  • \n
  • Support project delivery teams during larger remedial projects.
  • \n
  • Design and specify replacement components and remedial solutions.
  • \n
  • Produce technical specifications and bills of materials.
  • \n
  • Source and procure equipment from approved suppliers.
  • \n
  • Maintain awareness of industry best practice, product developments and manufacturer requirements.
  • \n
  • Provide technical guidance to field engineers.
  • \n
  • Assist engineers with fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
  • \n
  • Support the development of standard operating procedures and technical documentation.
  • \n

Requirements

\n


\n
    \n
  • Minimum 5 years' experience within the Solar PV industry (Essential)
  • \n
  • Strong understanding of commercial and industrial solar PV systems (Essential)
  • \n
  • Experience fault-finding and troubleshooting PV systems (Essential)
  • \n
  • Knowledge of inverters, monitoring systems, DC systems and electrical testing (Essential)
  • \n
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation (Essential)
  • \n
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Essential)
  • \n
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities (Essential)
  • \n
  • Full UK driving licence (Essential)
  • \n
  • Previous experience in Solar PV O&M.
  • \n
  • ECS Gold Card.
  • \n
  • Experience preparing technical reports and quotations.
  • \n
  • Experience with PV design software and electrical design.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of HV-connected solar installations.
  • \n

Location: Kings Lynn - Hybrid working + travel as req.
