Hours: Monday to Friday | 7:00am - 4:00pm or 7:30am - 4:30pm

Class 2 HIAB Driver Required - Northampton

Quest Employment are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 HIAB Driver to join a well-established business based in Northampton.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and skilled driver with experience operating HIAB equipment and delivering materials safely and professionally. The role will involve driving an 18-tonne HIAB vehicle, completing customer deliveries and supporting the wider team when required.

The successful candidate must be flexible, reliable and willing to work as part of a team.

The Role

As a Class 2 HIAB Driver, your duties may include:

• \n

  Driving an 18-tonne HIAB vehicle to complete customer deliveries

\n
• \n

  Delivering materials to building sites, private addresses and new developments

\n
• \n

  Covering deliveries across Northamptonshire and surrounding counties when required

\n
• \n

  Loading and unloading goods safely using HIAB equipment

\n
• \n

  Securing loads correctly before transport

\n
• \n

  Carrying out vehicle checks before and after each shift

\n
• \n

  Following all road safety regulations and company procedures

\n
• \n

  Communicating with the team regarding delivery schedules and any issues

\n
• \n

  Providing a professional and helpful service to customers

\n
• \n

  Supporting counter staff and the wider branch team when required

\n
• \n

  Learning product knowledge and the customer base over time

\n

Key Skills and Experience

We are looking for candidates who:

\n
• \n

  Hold a valid Class 2 licence

\n
• \n

  Hold a valid Driver CPC

\n
• \n

  Hold a valid HIAB licence, ideally with at least 6 months remaining

\n
• \n

  Have good knowledge or previous experience operating HIAB equipment correctly

\n
• \n

  Have previous HGV delivery experience

\n
• \n

  Have experience with flatbed vehicles, desirable

\n
• \n

  Have a clean driving licence

\n
• \n

  Are over the age of 21 due to insurance requirements

\n
• \n

  Are reliable, punctual and safety-conscious

\n
• \n

  Can work independently and manage time effectively

\n
• \n

  Have strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach

\n
• \n

  Are flexible and willing to support the wider team when required

\n
• \n

  Are a team player with a positive attitude towards work

\n

Additional Information

  Monday to Friday working pattern

\n
• \n

  Start time may be 7:00am or 7:30am

\n
• \n

  Finish time may be 4:00pm or 4:30pm

\n
• \n

  Breaks are provided in line with legal requirements

\n
• \n

  Occasional Saturday work may be required, approximately 1 in every 5 weeks for around 2 hours, to be confirmed

• \n

  Uniform will be provided

\n
• \n
