Builder (Multi Skilled)

Hays Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi Skilled Builder to join a leading organisation within the social housing sector, carrying out repairs, maintenance and refurbishment works across occupied and void residential properties throughout the East Midlands.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled all-round tradesperson looking to secure a long-term position, with the successful candidate initially joining on a temporary basis with the opportunity to become permanent following a successful period. The role involves undertaking a broad range of building repairs, maintenance and planned works, delivering high-quality repairs and improvements to customers' homes.

Key Responsibilities

\n
• Carrying out general building repairs and maintenance to occupied and void properties.
\n
• Completing internal and external building works.
\n
• Brickwork repairs and repointing.
\n
• Groundworks, excavation and pipework repairs.
\n
• Structural repairs and remedial works.
\n
• Studwork, dry lining, plastering and patch repairs.
\n
• Joinery works including 1st and 2nd fix carpentry.
\n
• Wall and floor tiling.
\n
• Fencing repairs and installations.
\n
• Window repairs and replacements.
\n
• Roof repair and refurbishment works.
\n
• Completing works safely, efficiently and to a high standard whilst maintaining excellent customer service.
\n

Requirements

To be considered, you will ideally have:

\n
• NVQ Level 2 in a relevant trade or equivalent qualification.
\n
• Proven experience as a Multi Skilled Builder within repairs and maintenance.
\n
• Strong all-round building knowledge covering multiple trades.
\n
• Experience working within occupied properties.
\n
• Ability to complete a variety of repairs independently.
\n
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
\n

Desirable

\n
• Social housing repairs and maintenance experience.
\n
• Asbestos Awareness.
\n
• PASMA qualification.
\n
• Abrasive Wheels training.
\n
• Experience carrying out structural repairs.
\n
• Ability to read construction drawings.
\n
• Additional skills in roofing, plastering, tiling, fencing, groundworks or joinery.
\n
