\nOur client is a leading organisation within the aerospace and defence sector, providing specialist aviation services to customers across the UK and internationally.
\nDue to continued growth, they are seeking a skilled Workshop Engineer - Structures to join their engineering team in Bournemouth.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with structural or aircraft workshop experience to work in a highly technical environment, supporting the maintenance, repair and manufacture of aircraft components.
\nKey Responsibilities

Assemble aircraft components from kits using engineering drawings and specifications.
\n - \n
Carry out a variety of assembly techniques, including solid and blind riveting, bolting and fitting.
\n - \n
Manufacture metal detail components using bending, fitting and finishing processes.
\n - \n
Interpret and work from technical drawings and engineering documentation.
\n - \n
Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical and structural aircraft components in accordance with approved procedures.
\n - \n
Complete all relevant maintenance and manufacturing documentation accurately.
\n - \n
Liaise with internal departments to ensure work is completed efficiently and to the required standards.
\n - \n
Ensure all work complies with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
\n - \n
Verify that all tooling and test equipment is correctly calibrated and recorded.
\n - \n
Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
\n - \n
Identify tooling requirements and support procurement activities when required.
\n
Skills and Experience
\nEssential:

Ability to read and interpret engineering and technical drawings.
\n - \n
Strong practical engineering skills with experience in mechanical or structural assembly.
\n - \n
Good written and verbal English communication skills.
\n - \n
Basic mathematical ability.
\n - \n
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
\n
Desirable:

Previous aircraft workshop or base-maintenance experience.
\n - \n
Experience within aerospace, aviation or another regulated engineering environment.
\n - \n
Knowledge of structural repairs and component-manufacturing processes.
\n
