Group Team Leader
\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Group Team Leader to join a busy manufacturing operation. The successful candidate will lead a small team on the shop floor, ensuring safe, efficient production of sheet metal and fabricated products while meeting quality and output targets.
\n\nKey responsibilities:
\n- Lead, coach and motivate a team of operators to achieve daily production targets and maintain high standards of quality and safety
\n- Plan and allocate work, monitor progress and adjust resources to meet deadlines
\n- Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality and production procedures
\n- Train and develop team members, carry out performance reviews and support continuous improvement initiatives
\n- Troubleshoot production issues, support first-line technical fixes and liaise with maintenance/engineering as required
\n- Monitor inventory of materials and report shortages or non-conformances
\n- Maintain accurate production records and contribute to shift handovers
\n\nRequired skills and experience:
\n- Previous manufacturing/production experience, ideally in a supervisory or team leader role
\n- Hands-on experience with sheet metal or fabricated products and an understanding of production processes for these items
\n- Strong leadership and communication skills, able to motivate and manage a diverse team
\n- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
\n- Basic numeracy and the ability to read production drawings and specifications
\n- Commitment to health & safety and quality standards
\n\nDesirable:
\n- Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies
\n- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with fabrication tooling and equipment
