Polishing Technician

Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Metal Polisher to join an established engineering facility based in Witham.

The successful candidate will be responsible for polishing and finishing a range of metal components, primarily aluminium, ensuring all work meets the required quality and customer standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out polishing and finishing operations on various metals, primarily aluminium.
\n
• Use hand tools, power tools and specialist polishing equipment.
\n
• Inspect surfaces before and after polishing to identify scratches, defects and imperfections.
\n
• Prepare materials by cleaning, degreasing and applying appropriate compounds or coatings.
\n
• Monitor the quality of finished surfaces and make adjustments where required.
\n
• Maintain and clean polishing equipment to ensure it remains in good working condition.
\n
• Identify and troubleshoot issues with polishing processes, equipment and materials.
\n
• Maintain accurate records of processes, materials and quality inspections.
\n

About You

\n
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong eye for quality.
\n
• Previous experience in a polishing, finishing or similar manufacturing role is desirable.
\n
• Able to read and understand technical drawings.
\n
• Practical and hands-on approach to problem solving.
\n
• Able to work independently as well as part of a wider production team.
\n
• Reliable, organised and committed to maintaining high-quality standards.
\n

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm

40 hours per week

Salary

Up to £17.00 per hour, depending on experience.
