Working as part of a specialist Production Engineering team, you will play a key role in delivering a diverse range of projects, from new product introduction and equipment implementation through to automation, capacity improvement and process optimisation initiatives.This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Engineering Graduate, Apprentice-Trained Engineer or early-career Production Engineer who enjoys driving improvement, managing projects and influencing manufacturing performance across a busy production operation.As a Production Engineer, you will support a variety of engineering and improvement projects across the manufacturing operation, including:Supporting new product introduction projects from concept through to production launchAssisting with equipment specification, supplier liaison and commissioning activitiesCreating and updating SOPs, work instructions and engineering documentationSupporting automation and robotics projects aimed at improving efficiencyCollecting and analysing manufacturing data to identify improvement opportunitiesInvestigating production issues and supporting root cause analysis activitiesDriving cycle time, quality and productivity improvementsSupporting trial builds and the introduction of new equipment and processesParticipating in Kaizen and continuous improvement activities across the plantSkills and ExperienceDegree, HNC/HND or apprenticeship qualification in an Engineering disciplinePrevious experience within a manufacturing environment through work experience, placement year, apprenticeship or employmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsGood communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teamsA proactive approach and willingness to learnAmbition to develop and build a long-term career within engineeringProduction, Manufacturing or Process Engineering experienceExperience creating SOPs and engineering documentationKnowledge of continuous improvement methodologiesExposure to automation, assembly, press or high-volume manufacturing processesThe application process:Our mission is to support our clients in their creation of an equal, diverse and inclusive workforce.
