Electrical Assembly & Test Technician Salary: c£32-36k + Bonus + Overtime +BenefitsLocation: Cambridgeshire Ref: ABJ6756We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Assembly & Test Technician to join a well-established and growing engineering and manufacturing organisation.As an Electrical Assembly & Test Technician , you will be responsible for the electrical assembly, wiring and testing of industrial machinery. You will play a key role in ensuring machines are correctly wired, tested and ready for commissioning.This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of interesting projects supporting the build and testing of complex industrial machinery within a stable and supportive engineering environment.This is a hands-on role offering variety, responsibility and the opportunity to contribute to high-quality machine build, electrical testing and continuous improvement.Perm: OnsiteKey ResponsibilitiesWire and connect complete electrical systems across machinery, including sensors, motors, actuators and interconnectsCarry out functional testing, I/O checks and basic electrical fault-finding prior to commissioningAssist in verifying signal paths and validating safe operation before software upload or HMI integrationRead and interpret electrical schematics, layout drawings and structured BOMsSupport electrical installation tasks around the factory, including lighting circuits, distribution boards and equipment upgradesAssist with new machinery installations and electrical improvement projects within production areasCollaborate with other departments during machine build, including routing, alignment and system integration activitiesMaintain high standards of safety, quality and housekeepingEnsure all electrical assembly and testing work is completed to a consistently high standardQualifications / ExperienceSolid background in machine wiring or industrial electrical assemblyAbility to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring documentationPractical experience with control devices, drives, sensors and motors, including DOL and VFD configurationsConfident identifying and resolving electrical faults during build and testingElectrical installation experience within an industrial, commercial or domestic environmentRecognised electrical qualifications such as 18th Edition or equivalentExposure to automation systems, PLC/HMI architecture or drive commissioning toolsBackground in food machinery, process equipment or OEM manufacturing environmentsSalary & Benefits - £34,000 £36,000 per annum (316-18 / hr.) + bonus + Regular overtime available, paid at 1.5x rate20 days holiday + bank holidays, rising to 26 days with service Pension scheme; Life assurance.Working Hours 36 Hours - Early Friday finish ; 30-minute lunch break.You will be working on complete machinery rather than repetitive electrical assembly, giving you the opportunity to develop your experience across wiring, testing, fault-finding, machine integration and eventually commissioning.To Apply: Please contact Alison Basson quoting ABJ6756 on T: 0203 909 3782 / +44 (0)7814 547440 or send your CV toTPBN1_UKTJ
