Senior Healthcare Assistant | Ipswich | £17£23 per hourLocation: Ipswich, with placements across the surrounding area including Woodbridge, Felixstowe, Stowmarket, Framlingham, Needham Market and KesgraveWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our agency care home team, covering placements across Ipswich and the surrounding area. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents, supporting their daily needs, and supervising junior staff. This position offers an opportunity to lead with compassion and professionalism, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all residents.Rates of pay range from £17£23 per hour depending on shift pattern, with enhanced rates for weekends and bank holidays.Duties includeDelivering personalised care in line with individual care plans, ensuring residents' dignity and independence are maintainedSupervising and supporting junior care staff, fostering a positive team environment through effective leadershipAssisting residents with daily activities such as mobility, personal hygiene, medication management, and meal preparationMaintaining accurate documentation of care provided, including updates to care plans and incident reportsCommunicating effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care deliverySupporting residents' emotional wellbeing through companionship and engaging activitiesEnsuring compliance with health and safety regulations, including infection control proceduresContributing to the organisation's training programmes by sharing expertise in senior care practicesExperiencePrevious experience working within a care home environment specialising in senior care is essentialProven supervisory experience demonstrating leadership skills within a healthcare settingFamiliarity with creating and implementing care plans tailored to individual needsStrong communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, and team membersCompetence in using IT systems for documentation and reporting purposesA valid driving licence is desirableCovering Ipswich and the surrounding area, including Woodbridge, Felixstowe, Stowmarket, Framlingham, Needham Market and Kesgrave.TPBN1_UKTJ
