Known for delivering high-quality pitched and flat roofing schemes and now expanding into solar installations, the business offers stability, strong technical capability and long-term progression.Assistant and experienced Estimators are invited to apply.Role Overview You will prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates for refurbishment roofing projects, working closely with clients, suppliers and internal teams. Reporting to the Refurbishment Operations Manager, you will support tender negotiations, ensure clarity of scope and produce high-quality submissions that meet commercial and client expectations.Key Responsibilities Estimating & TenderingProduce accurate cost estimates for pitched and flat roofing projectsReview tender documents and define project scopeAttend site visits to gather technical informationPrepare BOQs, schedules of rates and material take-offsFollow up on tenders to build relationships and identify future opportunitiesSupport solar estimating when requiredClient & Supplier EngagementObtain competitive pricing from subcontractors, suppliers and manufacturersNegotiate costs to ensure accurate and competitive tendersProvide technical advice on roofing systems and materialsBuild strong client relationshipsTechnical KnowledgeStrong understanding of pitched and flat roofing systemsAwareness of new roofing technologies and industry best practiceUnderstanding of frameworks, CIF funding and portal submissionsKnowledge of PAS2030 and solar installations is an advantageTeam CollaborationWork with Operations Managers to deliver accurate tenders on timeSupport junior team members where requiredProduce tenders aligned with profit targets and internal standardsUse estimating software (Swiftest preferred) and ERP systemsProject SupportProvide updated cost information to Project and Contracts ManagersReview post-tender results to improve future estimating performanceKey Skills & Experience QualificationsRoofing or construction qualification (NVQ, HNC, HND preferred)CSCS card beneficialExperienceIdeally 5+ years roofing estimating experienceStrong refurbishment, pitched and flat roofing backgroundSolar estimating experience highly advantageousERP system experience beneficialSkillsStrong technical understanding of roofing systems and materialsConfident negotiation skillsProficient in estimating software (Swiftest preferred)High attention to detailStrong communication and interpersonal skillsKeywords: Roofing Estimator, Refurbishment Roofing, Pitched Roofing, Flat Roofing, Solar Estimator, Roofing Tenders, Roofing Take-Offs, Roofing Costing, Construction Estimator, PAS2030, Milton Keynes Roofing Jobs.TPBN1_UKTJ
