Astute's Power Team is partnered with a market-leading Energy company, to recruit for an Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation (EC&I) Technician to join their Biomass Power Station in Chilton, Durham.The vital EC&I Technician role comes with a salary of £51,000 + Bonus + Overtime + other excellent company benefits.If you're an Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation Technician and are looking to work for a leading organisation who invests in training and professional development of their employees, then upload your CV to apply todayResponsibilities and duties of the EC&I Technician roleReporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for:Carrying out fault diagnosis, repairs, planned and unplanned maintenance activities on all EC&I assets to maximise plant availability including pressure, level, temperature and flow sensors and control systems (DCS, PLCs) and electrical equipment.Assisting during major maintenance periods, shutdowns, outages etc. when required to ensure maximum plant availability and efficiency.Working alongside other technicians in the maintenance team in diagnosing faults and assisting/suggesting equipment upgradesMaintaining accurate maintenance records using the site CMMSSupervising and directing on site contractors when requiredWorking within the company health, safety and environmental processes and procedures at all times.Professional qualificationsWe are looking for someone with the following:Ideally have an NVQ Level 3 qualification in a relevant engineering discipline such as Electrical/Electronic/Control and Instrumentation EngineeringA health and safety qualification such as an IOSH will be highly advantageousPersonal Skills, Prior Experience and KnowledgeThe EC&I Technician role would suit someone who has:Prior experience working in heavy process engineering environments such as Power (EfW, Biomass, CCGT, Coal, CHP, etc), Pharmaceutical, Chemicals, Steel Production, etc.Having prior experience working with steam generation equipment will be highly advantageous.Excellent technical knowledge of PLC, DCS, Instrumentation and Electrical systemsExperience working with HV equipment will be highly desirableExperience working with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)Salary and benefits of the EC&I Technician roleA salary of £51,000BonusOvertimeOther company benefits#LI-AP1INDPOWAstute People are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
